The Swedish Pirate Party increased its membership with more than 100% over the weekend after the verdict over The Pirate Bay founders.
The Pirate Party went from aprox 14,000 to 31,880 members as for now and growing. In this it surpassed the membership amount of three of the parties ruling in the swedish parliament, this is a political chock that has never been seen before in swedish history
The Pirate Party and The Pirate Bay are not affiliated and the founders of TPB are not member of the Pirate Party, yet.
